Tonight marked the opening night for or USL 2 regular season against SF City. Tonights venue and our home field for this season was Santa Cruz High School with an 8:00pm kick off. As the PDL has now been re-branded into the USL 2 we looked to follow up a successful first season by building on the foundation which we had left last season. As the game kicked off we fell behind to two first half goals off of set pieces. The game progressed and your Breakers started to get a foothold on the game enjoying more possession and goal scoring opportunities in the second half. Midfielder Jonathan Colunga pulled one back to cut the deficit in half. As your Breakers pushed for the equalizer , a second goal looked all but certain. SF City then scored a third on a swift counter attack to widen the gap once more. The game ended as such , but a positive second half gives us a lot to look forward to.

Your Breakers take the road this coming week with two away games. We take on Ventura County Fusion Friday 7:00pm and Sunday 2:00pm against FC Golden State.
