Undefeated Weekend Finished off in Style

By Staff, 06/17/19, 8:00AM PDT

This Sunday , July 16th marked the second to last away game of the season as we took on SF City. Since the first match of the season against them both teams have made many changes to their rosters so it was shaping up to be an interesting game. After being on the wrong side of a tough game in our first meeting this season your Breakers were determined to get revenge on their Bay Area rival. The stage was set at the historic Kezar Stadium where the grass was freshly cut and ready for a good game.

In the first half your Breakers started off strong pressing well as a unit and creating a few very good scoring opportunities that just would not go in. It did not take them too long to get their first goal as forward Ettore Ballestracci continued his red hot goal scoring streak making it 1 - 0 after 30 minutes . As the second half started SF City came out strong attempting to get back into the game but that would not end up happening. Midfielder Fellipe Oliveira scored his first goal of the season to double the lead in the 56th minute. It didn't take long for the third to come and Ballestracci bagged his second of the game which ended as a 3-1 win for your Breakers.

Make sure to come out to our FINAL HOME GAME of the season.
