Breakers Battle to Earn Valuable Points

By Staff, 10/05/19, 5:00PM PDT

After a short rest in games your Sant Cruz Breakers FC was back in action Saturday , October 5th. Three age groups were in action starting with the U15’s at 10:00am , followed  by the U17’s at 1:00pm and U19’s at 3:00pm. The games were played on the beautiful campus of Cal State Monterey Bay and the opponent was Albion FC.

In the first game of the day the U15’s never quite got going. After missing a few early chances the Breakers conceded and were not able to get their foot back in the game falling in a tough contest. In the second game of the day your Breakers found an early rhythm and pulled ahead. After scoring a couple quality goals the team was able to put in a hard working shift and see out the game comfortably. The U19’s fell behind early and conceded three goals within the first half but did not quit. In the second half they battled back to score three goals and tie up the game. With five minutes left in the game Albion scored again to go ahead but the Breakers responded immediately to equalize and share the points.

Tomorrow your Breakers play again as they take on Nomads at Cabrillo College.
