Breakers Show Resiliency Once Again

By Staff, 10/06/19, 4:30PM PDT

After a strong showing yesterday your Santa Cruz Breakers FC academies were back in action. Todays games took place in the newly renovated Breakers home , Cabrillo College Stadium. Looking to build on yesterdays momentum , Nomads would prove to be a tough opponent as there are no easy games when it comes to this league.

The U15’s started the day off again and got off to a slow start. After conceding early they were able to pull one back before the half. After missing several chances to get another goal they paid the price by conceding again as the game finished with the U15’s on the wrong side of a tough battle. The U17’s followed up in a similar game as the U19’s had the previous day. After digging themselves an early hole they came to life in the second half. The attack flourished and scored four goals to earn themselves a very hard fought point against a strong Nomads side. The third and final game of todays three game contest saw the U19’s drop a very close contest, pushing the opposition until the final whistle.

The next day of academy games will take place on October 20th at Cabrillo College as your Breakers will take on Ballistic United Soccer Club.
