Breakers Bounce Back

U13's vs Ballistic

Action Shot for the U13's Sunday 10/21 vs Ballistic

This weekend your Breakers FC took on Ballistic United SC with all academy age groups playing except the U19’s. With a tough weekend that just passed it was very important that the academies bounced back with positive performances , and that is exactly what happened. The first game of the day at Cabrillo College stadium this Sunday was a 0-0 draw with the U13’s. Shortly after that game was over the U17’s enjoyed a big 3-1 with forward Michael Redko grabbing a hat-trick. Our U15’s had the third game time of the day and took home a convincing three points winning 3-0. In our fourth and final match of the day the U14’s lost a tough match 2-1.

Our highlighted team of the weekend was our U17’s , who won a very important game 3-1. Former MLS pro, US Men’s National team player , and current U17’s Head Coach Zak Ibsen had this to say after the game , “Today was a hard fought victory for the good guys. Outstanding team effort combined with several fantastic individual performances highlighted by Michael Redko’s hat trick. Breakers FC U17 Academy is happy to get our first win & we look forward to building on this momentum for our upcoming trip to the Northwest. “

Your Breakers FC continue their academy league play this coming Saturday 10/27 and Sunday 10/28 when travel away to take on the Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers.
