Breakers FC 1/27 Report

This weekend marked the beginning of the second half of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy season for your Breakers FC. In action we had both U12 teams , our U13’s , and our U14’s. With our U12’s taking on Marin FC and the 13’s / 14’s taking on Placer United we were in for some very good competition.

Both the 2007 and 2008 U12 teams started off the day with 10:00am and 11:30am kick-offs . Both games were very competitive with the Breakers coming out on top in both contests. In the third match of the day our U13 academy team kicked off at 12:45pm with hopes of picking up three points . In a convincing fashion the team was able to score bin both halves of the game to solidify a 4-1 win. The final game of the day was our U14 academy team . After conceding early the boys settled in and were able to enjoy some more possession and creating chances. With a free kick at the edge of the box we hit both posts before the ball bounced out of the goal. Only minutes later we equalized on a header from a corner kick. Shortly after the Breakers followed up with two more quick goals , one from open play and one from a free kick. The game ended in a 3-1 win for your Breakers ending the day how we left off.

Our spotlight of the week will be shined on the 2009 Breakers FC team . We would like to congratulate the team and coach Mickey Duran on becoming 2019 State Cup Champions.
