This weekend your Breakers FC had another full schedule of academy games as the U15 , U17, and U19 academy teams took on Sacramento Republic away from home at Cosumnes River College in Sacramento. The U12’s were also away from home as they took on SF Elite in San Francisco. With Sacramento Republic sitting in playoff positions in each age group these games set up for yet another very competitive day.

In Sacramento the day got started with the U15’s as they kicked off at 11:00am. The game was a very close contest for the majority of the time. The Breakers were trailing only by one goal until late in the game when a couple late goals were conceded ending in a 3 - 0 defeat. In the second game of the day the U17’s kicked off at 12:30pm which turned out to be quite some game. The boys competed very well for all ninety minutes showing great character and defensive discipline . Tony Hueso scored the lone goal in the first half assisted by Connor Dawson. In the second half Michael Redko and Paxton Hall had two clear opportunities to score again. Late in the game Mason Escalante came up big with two huge saves to keep the clean sheet and the hard fought 1-0 win. The final game of the day in Sacramento was the U19’s who kicked off at 3:00pm. Another strong showing by the team as they competed all game but ended up conceding in the minute of the game to in a heartbreaking 1 - 0 loss. In San Francisco both U12 teams came away with points giving them an undefeated weekend once again.

Next set of games will take place on March 2nd as your Breakers FC take on De Anza Force Academy at Cabrillo College.
